Georgia Peach Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I've eaten here 3 times. The food here is so-so and hit or miss. The first time I went, the chicken was good. When I went recently, the chicken didn't taste like it was seasoned very well. There were a few times when I got the feeling the people behind the counter were a bit impatient when I had questions about the menu. I asked about a menu item and the person actually said, "yes, that's what it says 'right there' on the menu..." It was almost like she wanted to end the statement with saying "Dumb A$$". Seriously! So, with all that said, I will not go out of my way to frequent Georgia Peach. Many folks rave about them. I just don't see what the big deal is.

The food all taste the same as they must use the same fryer for their chicken as the fish. If you like everything tasting the same than this is your place. I wasn't impressed.

Very good food. What wowed me was how pleasant the lady was that I spoke work over the phone when I placed my order. She was patient and very detailed. The restaurant space itself is quite small, 1 or 2 little tables. I can understand if they prefer customers take out but they should really hire someone to greet people. When I walked in there were people scattered everywhere. I couldn't tell who had already ordered and who was in line to order. I never tried to desserts although they look delicious. I'm just cautious about how long they are kept on display! On hot summer days I always go get a few fruit cups. The watermelon is the best. It's always ripe and juicy, I really look forward to it.!

The food was delicious. I had the smothered turkey wings and rice. The turkey was so tender that it almost fell off the bone. It was very well seasoned and left me super full and satisfied. I am excited to return!

They were fast, friendly, but I expected tastier food based off of the reviews. I had smothered chicken breast with yams, and Mac and cheese. To me it was lacking that home cooked soul food taste that I was expecting. They are a little pricey too, I couldn't see why. If the food was off the chain then I'd understand. However, I'll give them another try it may have been what I ordered. After all they weren't horrible. I did like the portion sizes because I love left overs

Not southern food at all...nasty..not homemade. Just plan can

I was really craving some soul food last night. We are new in the neighborhood and we found this place by accident. It's located in a small strip mall right across the street from us, literally! There was about 10 people already waiting for food when we arrived. It was difficult to determine where to stand to wait in line or who to place your order with. We were never greeted when we arrived or asked if we have been helped. I finally asked a young girl behind the counter if we could order, she was friendly and took our order. She told us they were out of fried chicken breasts and would drop more in the fryer but it would take about 15-20 minutes. We agreed to wait. Thirty minutes later the other guests had left with their food, we were the only couple still waiting. We enjoyed the music while sitting at a small cafe style table. Our food was finally ready and they she informed us that the collard greens that we had ordered (30 minutes ago) were not done and would be another 15 minutes or so. We declined to wait and picked another side item instead. The food was piping hot and was a decent portion size. The price is appropriate for the amount of food received. I found the chicken to be moist and crispy but under seasoned. Just needed salt and pepper quite honestly. Same for the mac n cheese. It was cheesey, ooey gooey goodness but lacked flavor. Hubby liked the potato salad and rice and gravy. The green beans were average, nothing to write home about. We will try them out again but I will call in the order ahead of time. I love to see small, family owned and operated businesses be successful. I think Georgia Peach could be amazing with some front of house training and a bit of salt and pepper! ;)

Great southern cusine at fast and reasonable price! I would suggest fried chicken and greens!

While I didn't get actual food when I stopped by here, judging from the turnout of people there this place certainly lived up to the good reviews. I had a craving banana pudding and this place was close and had good reviews. On top of that everything is homemade! Due to this though, I was unlucky the first time I went by as they had just run out. Understandable if each container is homemade. The next time however, I did get the banana pudding and it definitely hit the spot. Way better than most others I've had at restaurants. Also very filling. So I can't comment on the food particularly but the banana pudding did not disappoint and the staff seemed friendly. Overall a pretty good experience.

Is Georgia Peach worth the visit yes. I've had better but this place is decent. The price point is awesome. So are the fried chicken and Mac/cheese! My dad had the smothered chicken and thought it was delish! The price point is better than other places in the area.

The food is good. Sweet potatoes were amazing - very tender and sticky. Turkey had a great flavor I wish they were cooked a little longer. Ribs are good but I wished they had a little more charcoal or smoked flavor and the sauce is good. Fried Tilapia was amazing. Great crunch and flavor.

The food is pretty good. I usually order the whiting dinner with mac n cheese and string beans. The mac n cheese is about an 8 out of 10. I got the collard greens once and I thought my heart was going to explode by how salty they were. The chicken wings are small, which I have no problem with because I don't like little baby arm chicken wings. I always have them refry my wings to get them crispy. This refry makes all the difference. They don't sell their wings a la carte though. Customer service is pretty good most of the time. The owner is a really cool guy. The tea is really good. Never tried their desserts but they always look appetizing especially the Red Velvet cake. Wait time is not too bad even when it's crazy busy. *VERY* clean and the prices aren't high. Would certainly recommend this place.

This was my first time trying Georgia Peach! I called in my order and the lady on the phone was very nice. I was greeted when I came into the restaurant. The music playing was a little loud but nice. I ordered the catfish platter with mac and cheese and yams! Ohmygoodness this is delicious. I got two huge pieces of catfish. They were fried well and nice and HoT. The yams were sweet but good. The Mac and cheese was nice and cheesy. I will be going back!

First-time got a dinner for my son and I good. Not the best but it was still a nice dinner . I didn't like the potato salad too much but the smothered chicken reminded me of my granny's . If I'm in the neighborhood again I would stop in but no special trips.

If I could give a 4 1/2 I would. Haven't been here in a while but I've missed it. Got a catfish dinner (with Mac & cheese & greens as sides), 1 wing, peach mango lemonade & banana pudding. Wing was really good but too small for my liking. Peach mango lemonade wasn't too sweet like last time, had a good level of sweetness. Banana pudding was so good it made me dance lol catfish had the same effect. So crispy and seasoned well. Was full after eating 1 piece but it was so good I couldn't stop. Sides were decent but the catfish was the start of this dinner. Employees are nice. Love this place. Prices decent for amount of food you get. Would have taken pics of this food but ate too fast lol

So after a lot of thought I tried this place again. I'm glad that I actually got my food this time . I had the fried catfish dinner with Mac n cheese and sweet potatoes and a slice of strawberry cake. Came with cornmeal muffin. The food was DELICIOUS. No exaggeration. The portions were large. Fish fillets huge and the best catfish that I have ever ever ever had. It was seasoned with an amazing coating. Sweet potatoes were good and Mac n cheese was very tasty. Cake was also amazingly good. It took 10 minutes. Was no line at 8;30 pm and came out hit and freshly done. Very happy and will be back. Service very good and efficient and nice to see 2 people at counter so line didn't build up like my 1st failed time there. I have enough leftover for at least another meal and a half but I am a light. Eater. See pics mmmmm also was pretty pricey. Was priced as high as Granny's or Colins Seafood . But is firmly a carryout . I'm glad the food was excellent. All came to almost $19.00 went back for more. Pretty consistent. They didn't give me and cornbread which is confusing since they had 2 people bagging the dinners and putting in utensils before it's handed off to folks. Only $15 this time. Won't be eating here a while to save my blood pressure.

Always friendly service. Always in and out in under 10 minutes. The food is always excellent. One of our favorite spots to get food when we are in the area. My wife actually had me to bring some home when I returned to Pittsburgh. The desserts are amazing as well.

I think I got my hopes up about the fried chicken from reading all of the enthusiastic Yelp reviews, but my boyfriend and I were a little more than disappointed in the chicken wings. Not only were they tiny, but they also had a strange taste we couldn't quite put a finger on. The yams were super sweet (but still delicious) and the mashed potatoes were standard but solid. We tried the different drinks they had because of the rave reviews but found them to be so sweet, we had to dilute them with ice water to make them drinkable. Because it's close to home, we might give it another try, and hopefully our minds will change in the future.

I highly recommend the food! Excellent service, delicious food, I'm definitely coming back soon! The catfish is crispy and fresh, yams and macaroni and cheese are both delicious

The food is great! I drive from the other side of town to go here. The food is always fresh and seasoned well. The staff is always nice, the restaurant is clean. With little to no seating, this is clearly a take out business. I wish they had more table space to sit in because the atmosphere is inviting.

    (5)
  • Erich C.

Get the catfish, mac and cheese, and greens! I also hear the yams are good. I'll get that my next time there!

  • Nicole P.

Its hard to find ok soul food but this place wasnt bad. Only complaint I have was with the wait they said the food would be ready in 10 minutes but it was more like 40 minutes. My suggestion would be to call in your order.

  • Chiara J.

Delicious!! I got catfish, greens and mac & cheese. If I lived in the area, then I would be there every week! When I'm in the area again, I will be there!!

I heard so many good things about this establishment that I decided to take a drive and see what they are about. Customer service is so important and they served up some good customer service along with some delicious food. If you are looking for some good soul food this is your spot.

Where do I start--my friend had a catered order for 50 wings and mac and cheese. She placed her order around 12pm(you have to pay in advance when you're ordering a catered service); they told my friend her order will be ready at 9pm. We arrived at Georgia Peach at 9pm, and the food was not ready!! This place is very unorganized, I have never witness an unstructured environment. The line is nonexistent--people are complaining about calling in an order which was not ready. I was very disappointed in this place. She told me this place is really good but I beg to differ. We finally received our food around 9:40pm, that's unacceptable when you placed an order at 12pm ( no discount or future coupon to use, but just sorry) very unprofessional. The chicken was too salty for my liking however the mac and cheese was good. You will not see me here again!

So, if you're in the mood for southern cuisine in the Owings Mills area and don't feel like waiting at Granny's, then this is an alternative. The tilapia was rather tasty and the sides were just okay.

We were traveling in the area from out of town and wanted something quick but not a chain restaurant. Thanks to yelp we found this place and were not disappointed. The chicken was delicious and the sides were so tasty. We had both the baked and fried chicken. They were very friendly and happy to answer all our questions.

I went in today to get the smothered wings with mac n cheese and greens. It was delicious! The wings were tender and flavorful. The greens were tender too! Customer service was fast and everyone was friendly. I'll be going back this weekend!

I stopped in a few months ago just to grab a quick dinner and really enjoyed it. The wings, macaroni and collards all had that homemade falvor I was hoping for -- without having to cook! I recently went back to get a couple orders of chicken wings to take to a potluck. Everyone there LOVED the wings. I mean LOVE. The seasoning, the crsipy texture, the golden brown color - all perfect. You could even tell the oil was fresh and the wings were timed perfectly! Juicy and deelish. I would caution, however, for you to call ahead. I did and was able to walk right up - through a large crowd of waiting walk-ins - and grabbed my food that was hot + ready right when they said it would be!

I've been wanting to try this place out for a few weeks. Finally convinced my boyfriend to try it after work. I ordered the smothered chicken with yams and Mac w/ a side of greens. The chicken was flavorful and tender & the gravy was just perfect!!! The yams were amazing...I could get 2 sides of the yams and be content. The Mac and cheese was pretty good nothing crazy special but certainly not bad & the greens were tasty I had to hit them with a little vinegar when I got home but that's my personal preference. My boyfriend had the wing dinner w/ Mac & yams. He's usually a slow eater but he scarfed everything down. When I asked him how it was he said we need to go back...next week. Lol Great job Georgia peach!

I went hear for the first time and I was amazed with the food. It was very good and tasteful. Not over seasoned. Just right.

The food was always decent. But on more than one occasion ,you have to put up with counter helpers who are ignoring you, talking to each other, and the last time I went there, I was ignored, and the customer who walked in behind me was greeted (because the young woman knew her),and immediately asked her for her order. I will not go back there again. I tried to support small businesses in my community, but Im done. They should teach the staff how to take orders. Instead of hiring staff that could care less, its a reflection on their business. Good bye Georgia peach, I got the pits when going there.

This place is located near my job & I was very excited for it to open. On opening day my coworker and I stopped over there for lunch only to be told they had to delay the opening to the next day. The next day we stopped again & they told us they were going to open at 4pm. To make a long story short they opened up their doors almost a week later. We tried calling an order ahead for carry out, only to be told that they don't take orders over the phone. My coworker & I walked in and placed our orders. There was already a lady there before us that was waiting on her order. It took over 20 minutes for us to get our order, mind you the lady before us still hadn't gotten her order yet and we got in after her. The food was OK & edible, but I have certainly had better. The mac & cheese was overcooked, mushy noodles. The collard greens were flavorful but the ribs I ordered did not taste freshly cooked. They tasted as if they had beed reheated from the day before. I would love to see this little restaurant succeed, but they have wonky business practices & their food leaves something to be desired. I will say that their red velvet cake was certainly DELICIOUS!!!

My bf wanted fried chicken. We are both pretty new to the area so after extensive yelping to find the best fried chicken we came to Georgia Peach. I give 5 stars even though our order got a little messed up. We ordered 2 - 2 piece white meat combos. We didn't get our second piece but we got the breast. It was very good. The food is cooked really well and the next time he has a fried chicken craving we will be back!!

Smh...i bought the sweet potato pie and banana pudding...not good at all...I really like to support small businesses but I guess down south cooking on the east coast is a fail...yikes....i could make better...

Stopped in here with my boyfriend, who heard great things from a co-worker. I'm not a big "soul food" type of person, but Georgia Peach is amazing! We tried the catfish, BBQ ribs, wings, and turkey wings. All were delicious! The catfish was crispy without being burned, and the ribs were fall off the bone and had just enough BBQ sauce. The wings and turkey wings were also delicious. We tried the candied yams, mac and cheese, collard greens, and potato salad-- these were also delicious. The banana pudding is also amazing. The girls that work here are also really friendly and polite, and the food came out fast. We've been twice in one week, and I'm sure we'll be back!

Very good experience. Good food and friendly staff. I had catfish, collard greens, yams, and cornbread. Everything was good. Only thing I'd change is more seasoning on the greens and buttered cornbread.

  • Jessica B.

The food here is delicious. My go to meal is the catfish with mac and cheese and collard greens. I've also had the turkey wings which were really good. I wanted to try the potato salad until the girl that worked there told me not to because it wasn't homemade. One day I'll try the desserts and write a review on that.

Worth the 20 minute drive. (It was our second one this week, the food was so good we had to go back!) Fried chicken was fresh out the fryer, skin was crunchy and the meat was juicy. Smothered pork chop was so tender, I didn't need a knife. Covered in a rich gravy and sitting on white rice. Same with the turkey wings. Yams, sweet and well cooked. String beans I could eat as a meal by themselves. Collards were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Wasn't wowed by the Mac and cheese or the corn muffins (they were dry with little flavor). Strawberry cake was really good, I wish we had gotten some of the banana pudding too! Service was friendly and welcoming. Cute little tables inside. I'd suggest calling your order in on the weekends because they get BUSY! I'll be back and I can't wait until August when they're opening in one in Woodlawn, closer to my house!

This review is for the new location on Security Blvd. The rating would be higher but the restaurant organization needs a lot of work. I went here for lunch with my coworkers. It was 9 of us and we all arrived at the same time. The place fill up quick so early arrive is a must...especially if your going for lunch. We managed to grab two tables but it was tight and very crowded. My issue is my coworkers and I all odered together however it took almost a hour before they called the name for about 5 of my coworkers. Four of us that received our food was finished and the others name still wasn't called. They just left without having lunch. We all ordered basically the same thing. That seemed to be a big issue. ..people orders were all over the place. The guy calling the orders has a massive back up and the entire staff seemed overwhelmed. Also, i couldn't find a trash can inside...we threw our trash out in the trash container located outside the store. The food was decent. I would go back but will definitely wait a few months for them to work out the bugs.

This restaurant is like eating at home. They are good people as well. I will return every time I am in town. My meal: Baked & Smothered Turkey Wings, Mac & Cheese, Potato Salad, Corn Bread and Peach Cobbler.

They are slow but well worth the wait. The earlier you go the better; I've gone twice and both times they were out of peach cobbler.

Fairly limited menu. Not a great ambiance. Didn't enjoy my meal. Won't be returning

  • Patrick L.

Friendly staff, good sweet tea. But my chicken wasnt crispy. It was moist and tasty but I like fried chicken to be crispy. This is a big place but seems more designed for take-out. Small number of tiny bar height tables with limited seating. Whichbis weird because the style, colora, music lends to a restaurant feel. In the end thenplace feels a bit stick between. Worth stopping fir a quick bite if you're in the area.

  • Robert B.

Excellent catfish: very well seasoned and crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Their potato salad was really yummy too: heavier on the mustard, which I like!

  • Food F.

I eat here at least once a week and enjoy the food, but my only complaint is that it lacks consistency. One day, the mac and cheese might be extremely cheesy but then a few days later, there's barely any cheese in it! Did they run out of cheese or something because they used so much last time? The other side items are also inconsistent. Can all the cooks please just start using the same recipe? I'm just sayin'...

Been twice...brought folks from work with me the 2nd trip..no one spoke..we just ate! True story. The sides..the catfish..OMG! Find this place..you will love it.

My hubby and I have had southern food before and were excited to try a new place near us. We give the catfish and candied yams an A+. The smothered baked chicken an A. The Mac and cheese a B (was cold) as well as the collard greens (had some recently with a kick and ham hocks). The potato salad got a C ( not all the potatoes were cooked and we prefer ours with eggs). We are definitely going back to check our the fried chicken and ribs

Georgia Peach opened Nov 2012. Not sure why I just found out about it. At any rate, the food is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. When I tell you to take yo' mama, papi, granddaddy, granddaughter, aunts, sisters, uncle and cousins to this carryout I seriously mean it. The catfish..the whiting...the fried chicken wings....mashed potatoes and gravy, rice, collar greens, banana pudding, half and half, red velvet cake, salad is seasoned like somebody's grandmama is in the back of the kitchen cooking it! Besides the delicious food, the decor is impeccable. When you walk in the walls are a gorgeous pumpkin color with gold accents, accompanied with dark brown marble countertops, and high cocktail tables. The young staff is friendly and noone has an attitude problem. The owner is nice and comes out and greets you and makes sure everything is ok. I hope they stay in business. The prices are very reasonable! Please go out and support!!!

The service was fast and the prices were reasonable. I had the catfish, yams, and Mac & cheese. The portions were large. I will return to try other entrees.
